Carnaval Op.9, Schumann

Progetto/Project

Dietro le sue maschere, il Carnaval op.9 di Schumann, nasconde il ritratto di un mondo “sbagliato”. L’affresco musicale si conclude con la “marcia di Davide contro i Filistei” dove l’arte e la cultura si presentano, al contempo, come motori di progresso e baluardi dell’immobilismo conservatore.

How to make Robert Schumann, Carnaval op. 9 appreciated by all  new generations ! The live interpretation of the famous Carnaval, Op. 9 by Schumann for piano solo will be accompanied by original projections, creating a performance based on a unique cocktail of notes, pictures, words and binary code. Graphics and multimedia creations reinterpret in a contemporary way the socio-political criticism that the work of Schumann hides behind the masks of the carnival. This fresco ends with the "March of David against the Philistines" in which art and culture are presented at the same time as the engine of progress and bastions of conservative immobility.
