Roberto Prosseda’s recent sensational discovery of new Mendelssohn works made headlines in Europe and lead to his two Decca releases. His "Mendelssohn Discoveries" album (2005) has been included in the top 10 Mendelssohn piano recordings by the English magazine "Piano". Mr. Prosseda concertized extensively in Europe in 2006/2007. His future recording projects for Decca include a Chopin album, to be released in September 2007, a double CD with Mendelssohn's complete Lieder ohne Worte (2008) and the World Premiere recording of Mendelssohn's E minor piano concerto with the Gewandhaus Orchester and Riccardo Chailly (2009).
"I recommend Roberto Prosseda for his deep musicianship, his excellent technical mastery of the piano and his markedly lyrical style. I have always been impressed by his originality and his ability to rethink pieces of music familiar to all of us. His playing is always profoundly serious, and yet it gives musicians great pleasure both for its sensuous qualities and its conviction. I know of no young pianist I could recommend with greater enthusiasm".

The path of their studies first and the of their art later has been quite similar.
Both have graduated with full grades from the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milano, under the mentorship of Maestro Franco Campioni. After the several experiences born inside the Conservatore, within several camera and solo formations, they both begin a brilliant career as percussionists and timpanists in the most important Italian musical institutions, such as “Sinfonica Rai of Milano”, Rai of Torino, Musical Afternoons, Angelicum, Opera Theatre of Genova, Regal Theatre of Turin, and Swiss Italian Radio of Lugano. From the nineties, they cover the role of percussionista in the Theatre La Scala of Milano, and of its Philarmonic and group of percussionists. They have performed in the most famous concert halls in the world directed by the most prestigious maestros among which Giulini, Abbado, Muti, Chung, Maazel, Chailly.
